Fees
All students pay a one-time, non-refundable lifetime registration fee at first enrollment.
Students under 18: Term fees are due in full before each term begins. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable under all circumstances, including student illness, injury, schedule conflicts, voluntary withdrawal, or facility closures due to bandh, government restrictions, extreme weather, public health emergencies, or any other unforeseen circumstances. Fees cover instruction, internal assessments, competitions, materials, and some internal events. Fees are consistent across all centres and account for the academy’s planned schedule including holidays.
Students 18 and over: Adult students purchase class coupons: drop-in, or packages of 10, 30, 50, or 100 sessions. Coupons are valid for ballet, BarreFIT, and yoga classes. Coupons expire at specific date from purchase date and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Purchase new coupons before your current package expires.
All fees do not include uniforms, show costumes, performance tickets, summer program, intensives, ballet parties, masterclasses, workshops, external examinations, or any items or events not explicitly listed as included.
Auto-renewal & Withdrawal
Students are automatically enrolled for consecutive terms. To withdraw at term end, email support@tlfcb.org by the 15th of the final month of the term. Students who do not provide withdrawal notice remain enrolled and fees for the following term become due.
Students withdrawing mid-term receive no refund or credit. Enrollment cannot be transferred to another student.
Attendance & Punctuality
Regular, punctual attendance is required for progress.
Punctuality: Class begins with warm-up exercises essential for injury prevention. Students arriving more than 10 minutes late will observe rather than participate. Students who must leave early require prior teacher permission.
Attendance tracking: Students with attendance below 80% in any term may be excluded from performance casting, show participation, or promotion.
Absence notification: Parents must notify their class WhatsApp group in advance of any absence or tardiness.
Class Observation
Parents may observe classes during designated Open Class Weeks or with special teacher permission. Parents of children under 7 must accompany their child to the studio and wait in designated waiting areas until class ends. If waiting areas are unavailable, parents should remain nearby outside the studio. Unscheduled observation disrupts instruction and is not permitted.
Missed Classes
Students are expected to attend their enrolled sessions regularly. Consistent attendance is essential for progress.
Missed classes refer to sessions the student cannot attend due to personal circumstances such as exams, family vacations, or illness. Missed classes do not include TLFCB closures per the holiday calendar or facility closures due to bandh, government restrictions, extreme weather, public health emergencies, or any other unforeseen circumstances.
Students may make up missed classes by attending the same level at any center, subject to space availability. Makeup classes are not available during production periods, when each class learns specific choreography.
Missed classes cannot be accumulated, adjusted against fees, or refunded. Makeup classes must be scheduled within the current term or next term.
Contact your Student Coordinator to schedule this.
Student Assessment and Placement
Students receive formal evaluations every two years. Teachers may recommend student advancement at any time during the academic year. All placement decisions rest entirely with instructors and the Artistic Director. Parents with questions about their child’s specific progress or placement can schedule a meeting by emailing support@tlfcb.org . Comparisons between students are not appropriate or encouraged.
Productions
The Lewis Foundation of Classical Ballet produces major performances biennially (every two years). Participation is not compulsory.
Participation eligibility: Students are invited to participate in productions based on their level and training. Participation is not auditioned but is contingent on meeting attendance requirements in classes and rehearsals.
Participation confirmation: Parents must confirm their child’s participation via the online form provided. Confirmation acknowledges acceptance of all production requirements including attendance standards and fee obligations.
Costume and production fees: Costume fees vary by class and role in the production. Fees are communicated to participating families before payment is due. These fees are non-refundable once paid, regardless of whether the student ultimately performs.
Attendance requirements for performance eligibility: To perform in the production, students must maintain:
- Minimum 80% attendance in regular classes throughout the production term
- Full attendance at all scheduled production rehearsals
- Attendance at all dress rehearsals
Students who fail to meet attendance requirements will be removed from the production. Costume and production fees are not refunded.
Casting decisions: All casting decisions rest solely with the Artistic Director and are final.
Uniform & Dress Code

Studio Conduct
Students must maintain respectful behavior toward instructors and fellow dancers. Disruptive behavior including excessive talking, unauthorized entry during other classes, or leaving without permission is not permitted. Only water is allowed in the studio – no food, gum, or other beverages. Students cannot warm up or wait inside studios when other classes are in session.
Studio Physical Guidelines
No street shoes in studios. Bags must be stored in designated cubicles, not on studio floors. Do not hang on barres, touch mirrors, or write on walls. Spilling water on studio floors creates safety hazards and must be avoided. Only instructors may operate music systems.
Social Media and Electronic Devices
Students and families cannot post video content of TLFCB choreography, performances, or class activities on any social media platform without explicit written permission from administration. Electronic devices and photography are prohibited in all dressing rooms. Students and parents cannot speak to media or represent TLFCB publicly without prior administrative approval.
Schedule and Program Changes
The Lewis Foundation of Classical Ballet reserves the right to modify class schedules, assign or change instructors and teaching assistants, or adjust programming as needed. Schedule or instructor changes do not constitute grounds for fee refunds or prorated adjustments.
Complaints & Concerns
For complaints or concerns about instruction, student progress, scheduling, or policies, email support@tlfcb.org. This ensures your issue reaches the appropriate staff member and receives proper attention. For urgent matters during class hours, speak directly with your Student Coordinator.
Using these designated channels allows us to address your concerns effectively and maintain proper records. It also ensures the right person handles your specific issue rather than creating confusion through informal discussions.
WhatsApp Groups
Parents are added to WhatsApp groups for their enrolled class. Important announcements, schedule updates, and operational information will be shared through these groups. Parents should use the group to notify about student absences in advance so class administrators can inform teachers.
Messages must be ballet academy-related only. Forwarding external content, personal conversations, or non-TLFCB topics is not permitted. All communication must use respectful, professional language. For any complaints or concerns, email support@tlfcb.org directly rather than posting in WhatsApp groups.
WhatsApp groups are monitored by the TLFCB administration. Inappropriate use may result in removal from the group or restriction to admin-only posting.
Parent Responsibilities and Staff Conduct
Preparing students for class: Parents are responsible for ensuring their child arrives ready for class: proper uniform, hair secured in a bun, shoes on, water bottle filled. Student Coordinators and administrative staff are not responsible for dressing children or assisting with preparation.
Staff roles: Student Coordinators and administrative staff handle enrollment, scheduling, communications, and logistics. They are not childcare providers. Parents must supervise children in waiting areas before and after class.
Professional conduct: All interactions with staff must be respectful and professional. Abusive language, unreasonable demands, or disrespectful behavior toward staff will not be tolerated and may result in dismissal without fee refund.
Questions and concerns: For questions about scheduling, attendance, or logistics, contact your Student Coordinator. For concerns about instruction or student progress, email support@tlfcb.org to schedule a meeting with the teachers.
Parking : Parking arrangements are entirely the responsibility of parents/guardians. TLFCB does not provide designated parking facilities – please use available public parking zones in the vicinity.
Waiting Areas: Limited waiting space may be available at select studio locations. Parents requiring extended waiting facilities are advised to utilize nearby cafes and establishments.
Admission and Dismissal
The Lewis Foundation of Classical Ballet reserves the right to accept or refuse any student application or re-enrollment at its sole discretion.
Students may be dismissed for behavioral issues, repeated violations of studio policies, failure to meet attendance requirements, or non-payment of fees. Dismissal does not entitle students to fee refunds or credits.
